sotra — Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026 Effective date: [TBD — date of publication]

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how sotra ("sotra", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at sotra.ai and within our service (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to make the site work, keep you signed in, or remember your preferences.

We use cookies sparingly. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or behavioural-tracking cookies.

2. The cookies we use

All cookies we use are first-party cookies — they are set on the sotra.ai domain. We do not use any third-party cookies.

CookieTypePurposeDuration
sotra-langFunctional (preference)Remembers the interface language you have selectedUp to 1 year
Authentication cookies (set by our authentication provider, Supabase; names include a project reference and may be split into several parts)Strictly necessaryKeep you signed in and secure your sessionSession — until you sign out or the session expires

The authentication cookies are essential: without them you cannot sign in or use the Service. The language cookie simply remembers your preferred language so you don't have to re-select it on each visit.

3. Cookies and technologies we do NOT use

For transparency, we want to be clear that sotra does not use:

  • advertising or marketing cookies;
  • analytics, statistics, or measurement cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, PostHog);
  • social-media tracking pixels;
  • cross-site or behavioural-tracking technologies of any kind.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Consent

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies (for authentication) and a functional cookie (your language preference), and because we use no analytics or advertising cookies, we do not display a cookie-consent banner for non-essential tracking — there is none to consent to.

If we ever introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary or purely functional (for example, analytics), we will update this Policy and ask for your consent before setting them.

5. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • see what cookies are stored and delete them individually;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • block all cookies from specific or all sites;
  • delete all cookies when you close the browser.

Please note: if you block or delete our authentication cookies, you will not be able to sign in to or use the Service. Blocking the language cookie will simply mean your language choice is not remembered between visits.

Browser-specific instructions are available from your browser provider (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others).

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or services. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
